The number of registered COVID-19 cases in the world is over 10 million. Half of the overall cases have recovered since the initial spread of the virus. AllCare Family Medicine and Urgent Care of Fairfax, VA carries out the antibody SARS-Cov-2 AB test for all patients.

Testing Procedure

The coronavirus antibody test is a specially developed test, which aims at detecting the presence of antibodies to coronavirus in the patient’s organism. The actual testing is an in-office procedure that includes sampling via blood draw.

If a patient considers himself/herself recovered from Coronavirus and decides to be tested for antibodies to Coronavirus, first, he/she needs to consult with our doctor so that the latter can find out whether there are any COVID-related symptoms or signs in his/her organism. Patients with COVID-related or similar symptoms cannot be tested for antibodies until full recovery.

What are Antibodies?

Antibodies are protein molecules that our immune system produces in 10 days after the infection. Nevertheless, even after a full recovery, they may remain positive for a long time.

SARS-Cov-2 AB test is a relatively new technology, the results of which usually come back in one-three business days; please, take into consideration that the mentioned period may vary sometimes.

We reach you out via email sending you the results interpreted by the doctor.
