About Raafat Shabti, MD

Dr. Raafat Shabti is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Doctor with 13 years of clinical experience in Northern Virginia.

Dr. Shabti obtained his medical degrees from the American University of Beirut and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

He completed his Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Dr. Shabti also received medical training from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, State University of New York, Kings County Hospital Center.

Dr. Shabti is Certified Medical Examiner for Department of Transportation Physicals, he is also Certified in Fundamentals of Critical Care, and Civil Surgeon/Immigration Physicals.

Dr. Shabti is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center, and he enjoys teaching Georgetown medical students at his office.

He likes taking care of complex medical issues and coordinating care for patients with multiple medical problems and multiple providers. Dr. Shabti is an excellent listener who believes that effective and genuine communication between a doctor and a patient is the basic foundation for optimal care and outcomes.
